Well, Word Press and I are not speaking the same language today. So no pictures. But so far the little wandering piglet is staying put. He’s not exactly happy. But he’s is safe. He can see his brothers though a slatted wooden barrier. They can touch noses and talk to each other. But the little piglet can eat without competition from the bigger brothers. And Willow is close by. But the piglet is not able to nurse. He must stand tall on his own. He can do this. He just doesn’t know it yet.
Hopefully I will have pictures to share later in the day. WP and I must sit down and have a chat. But I have animals that need my attention right now. And it just a bit, a doctor’s appointment for my fearless son. He might be facing right shoulder surgery. We will know for sure later today. God knows our worries. He is in charge. And for that I am thankful.
Addendum: So WP and I got our differences worked out. Here are some pics of the wandering piglet in his own
chicken coop bachelor pad where he can hang out and eat and sleep and play loud music without the interference of big brothers. 🙂
Peeking through the slats in the coop door.
Happily playing with the chickens~ safe from bothering brothers. Note the chicken feather hanging on his right cheek.
Looking west, we are having stormy weather, too. Nothing like Texas or the Southern Plains. Just a bit of wind and much needed rain.
Today’s count: 47 eggs. 2 gallons milk
Weather: Isolated showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Low near 40. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Supper: sauteed cabbage, carrots, onions (in Maisy butter) and ham over rice.
