To busy?

To busy to blog?

How can that be possible?

I have a running dialogue with this blog all day as we plough through the chores.

“Oh how cute! That would make a nice picture!”

“Have I talked about the garden yet?”

“Look how big Maggie is now! She comes all the way up to my waist. And what a toot! She’s gathering quite the attitude!”

And yet when I sit down to type these thoughts  …..I’m falling asleep at the key board.

All those stored words lost in a dream.

SAM_4633.JPG And because this is Montana in the spring and because we are at 48.4 degrees latitude north, it is almost full on day at 5:30 am and still light in the sky at 10:30 pm. Sometimes, we are still out doing “things” way past 9:00 (like last night. I was still filling the river rock flower bed with flowers until…..well, I’m not sure what time it was but it was quite dark when Rachael and I walked the cows back to the big red barn~ our final chore of the evening.)

Getting to bed at night is a huge issue. One cannot (finally) hit the pillow after 10 pm and think that she can run full steam all day without consequences.

So I must do better.

There is so much fun going on here.

Pigs and chickens and cows and food….

Oh the food…..

(It’s been so rainy that I haven’t even started the garden in earnest yet.

But never fear. My clever cover crop of weeds is keeping the soil safe!)

So I will make a valiant effort to get to bed earlier so I can share the farm properly!

And hopefully my ever busy children will keep me accountable.

Hmmmm….well, maybe not. The “ever busy children” have some issues getting to bed at a decent time as well.

Maybe THAT’S the problem?

Maybe girlfriend has a “kids-who-stay-up-too-late” problem.

It’s me.
