When the kids asked me what I wanted for Mother’s Day, I jumped at the chance to have a couple of jobs done in the garden. While I could take care of the chores myself, the work would go really fast if the kids help.
So we raced home after church. But before we could change into our work clothes…….
it started to graupel (I’m not sure if you can use the word “graupel” as a verb. But it did graupel at our house).
Big, wet sheets of graupel came raining down on my parade, and all over the garden, soaking the ground, making the soil unworkable. Dang it.
Soooo, I guess we get to extend Mother’s Day to tomorrow, too!
Yay!
Today’s count: 33 eggs
What’s for supper: I’m not sure. The kids are in charge and no one is talking.
Weather: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. South southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Tonight partly cloudy, with a low around 31. South southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.
I love the fact that you are into farming, and have your kids into it too! What a wonderful lifestyle you’ve established. Love your blog! 🙂
