  2. Made me smile. DH was Navy and is also a retired firemen. He is always using that time. It was 104 degrees yesterday. We pop out after a long afternoon and enjoy the lovely indigo sky. The Milky Way overhead. All is quiet and our dog Mischief (an aussie) is checking out the fence lines to make sure all is as it should be. You mentioned January. Our wood is ready.

    1. Hi Bev! Both my husband and myself are former (not retired 🙂 ) medical flight personnel. And our oldest is in the Navy so we sometimes fall into military time without thinking. It’s only when I get that quizzical “huh” look from others that I realize I’ve used terms that are not always readily understood.
I can’t believe how hot you are! 104! Yikes! That’s pretty steamy!
My favorite time of day used to be night fall. Now it’s early morning. I think it’s just because I’m so tired in the evenings, it’s just a blur of “when-do-I-get-to-go-to-bed” or falling asleep in front of the TV. Not so relaxing. What a great name for an Aussie! I love that breed! Maybe that will be our next dog!
Have a nice, quiet evening and enjoy the stars for me. I’m going to bed as soon as I can…..

      Sleep tight~
