We are so busy. I feel like I’m chasing my tail. Working in the garden. Milking. Mowing the lawn. Inside work. Outside work. Fun. Fun. Fun!
The light is changing ever so slightly and there is a tiny nip in the air in the mornings. But it’s enough of a change that I’m freaking out a little.
I can’t believe it’s almost time for the kids to start school. I miss them when they are at school. I get more things accomplished when they are gone. But it takes a few days of reorienting before I can get organized.
The garden is putting out just enough food for a few meals at a time. But give it another week or so and I’ll have enough to begin the canning season.
Look at Maggie’s thick shoulders and heavy chest. She must have her sire’s front end and her Jersey mother’s hips~ boney.
The chickens continue to diminish their egg laying by a few every day. We are down to 14 eggs a day. That’s enough for us but the pigs are fussing about the lack of eggs in their diet. Spoiled piglets!
Gotta get to it! Winter is close on our heels and waits for no man or woman!
Hope everyone has a lovely day!
