Last Wednesday it started snowing. It snowed for 5 days. Then it stopped. This morning we have sun. After days in the gloom~ sunshine!
The clouds are supposed to blow off and then we are plunged into the deep freeze tonight. Kind of early. It’s only the first week of November!
I know those of you reading these thoughts are probably SICK of hearing about the weather. But farming is (almost) all about the weather: is it going to rain or do I have to water~ again? Is it going to freeze tonight? Can I cover the crops to get just a couple more days/ hours of blooms/ tomatoes before we are shut down for the season? Have the chickens REALLY stopped laying already? Do I keep the cows in the barn because it’s going to rain the next 5 days (and turning them out into the pasture would pug up the fields).

It’s about timing and watching and action/ no action.
It’s farming.
I think I’ll go bake some brownies.

Today’s count: 3 eggs. I think the girls are done for the season.
What’s for supper: Some type of Mexican food. Boy’s request 🙂
Weather: A 30 percent chance of snow showers before 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Tonight partly cloudy, with a low around 5. Calm wind.
love it!!!!! Love ya’ll!!!!!

Did you see where you took a picture of three white UFO’s in your background picture of big mountain? What are they?
