Way back in the fall, I planted several (SEVERAL, MULTIPLE, LOTS!!!) crates of tulips. And then they froze on the front porch.
And then I cried.
Then the boys helped me move the crates to the garage. And we waited to see how they would thaw~ squishy bulbs = dead bulbs= no tulips. Firm bulbs= not dead bulbs= flowers in the spring! The bulbs were firm and I did a happy dance.
Rocket forward 3 months~ early in January, I (IE: the boys, because I’m still a bit unsteady on my feet) moved all the crates into the basement garden where the bulbs could warm up. A little sprinkle of water and they might think it was spring.
Sure enough, here they come! Angelique….
And La Belle Epoque…..
Some of these might be ready for Valentine’s Day!!!!
Ooooo! I can’t wait!!!!
What’s for supper: I’m not sure yet. Chicken something?
