It’s snowing. And was -17 on the front porch this morning. Bleck.
Instead of showing the same old tired images of the snow covered farm, I thought I’d show some of the other things that are going on in our home.
But first, cow pictures.
Our lovely cows.
A few forsythia branches in bloom~ I brought these inside about a month ago. They are flowering and leafing out. Just gazing at these blooming branches lifts my spirits. I’m such a goofball!
Mountains with almost clear skies.
The south facing window sill.
And the food~ of course.
Home grown bacon and strawberry waffles. Yum!
More tomorrow~ I think I see the sun trying to peek out!!!! Yippee!
What’s for supper: Rustic mushroom bread pudding. I haven’t made this before but another blogger I follow posted this. I’m going to try it and let you know tomorrow. I’ll post the recipe and pics too.
Today’s count: no eggs 😦 I guess it’s just too dark for the girls to be laying consistently yet.
Weather: A 70 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 15. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph. Tonight mostly cloudy, with a low around -7. Light and variable wind.
With weather like that, I would want amaryllis and forsythia INSIDE too.

Ha! Sometimes I catch myself just staring at the deep red of the blooms. It does lift the mood! 🙂
